Yesterday I saw Yautacha's ad for Chinese New Year & drove later in the dat to try the spread. I have been here quite a number of times & the place is very ideal for family or friends. Yesterday i went with my wife and we found an extended menu for the occasion of Chinese New Year. There were so many new dishes to try and we ordered 3 of them as suggested by the waiter. Our order was Prawn Cheung fun, Indian sea bass with hot oyster sauce, spicy seafood noodles. Prawn was crispy and crunchy, more of starter. The Indian sea bass was a basket of fresh veggies in a thick gravy. Seafood noodles, is something very new and heavy. It had many kinds of fishes and the noodles were very thin and slippery. It is a nice attempt by Yauatcha and is gathering crowds
Quest mall came to Kolkata few years from now and in it Yauatcha became a popular eatery since day one. Thus I had to try the place after seeing every food blog discussing about it. When I went in here, I really liked the ambiance of the place. Its classy and very different from the usual restaurant deck up. Since it was my first day, I did not want to over order or waste. Thus, I ordered a simply soy noodle. It tasted nice and was heaped with many layers of sauces. My nephew ordered one - chicken shanghai dumpling. I felt it will be usual momos. But this tasted different and was served very fresh.
Many outlets of Yauatcha has spread across the country, however this one is the first at the heart of Kolkata. In few months of existence, this name is buzzing among foodies of the city. Hence, your food exploration is worth a shot here.
